Dress for Success!
Here at Dulak we have a comprehensive range of about 500 costumes all for hire. Ranging from TV and film characters, past and present, through to outfits from the Middle Ages. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness, quality and presentation of each costume. When you visit the shop you will find that each costume is individually labelled, within its own category. Every garment is price tagged and costumes range in hire price from £5 - £25 depending on what is included. If necessary a portion of the costume can be hired. As an example, if you only required a Teddy boy jacket which comes with trousers, you can just hire just the jacket and pay a reduced price.
We also have a range of Children’s costumes too. These costumes cost just £5 to hire. In our experience we have tended to find that when children get to a certain age, they become too big for the child range, but a little small for the adults. If this becomes the case we are quite happy for a child (under 18) to take an adult costume, but only pay half price.
When hiring a costume, the customer is given the option of washing it before its return. If this option is taken up we are happy to reduce the hire price by £2. Most of the costumes are machine washable, but always on a cool wash. The hire period is usually Friday – Tuesday (Mondays closed) However, if you require a longer hire, this can always be arranged prior to collection, or on the day. Included in the Fancy Dress hire range there is a collection of Female only platform boots (sorry guys!!) These can be hired as an extra to a costume or on their own. These boots have proved extremely popular with everyone who has hired them over the years.
Within this site we have a full list of all our costumes and any accessories that accompany them. There is also a facility to ‘add on’ to your costume with a few extra accessories. Please note that all wigs have to be purchased as hiring is not permissible due to Health and Safety regulations.
